Athena Racing Aluminium Cylinder 70cc – Minarelli Vertical

High-end 70cc Racing cylinder kit from Athena for scooters with Minarelli vertical engines such as the Yamaha BW's, Yamaha Slider, MBK Booster and MBK Stunt. This complete kit features a 12 mm piston pin and is designed for maximum racing performance.

The newly developed Athena Racing cylinder uses an innovative mounting system. Instead of traditional cylinder studs, it is bolted directly to the cylinder base, similar to high-end racing concepts. This design removes the limitations imposed by studs, allowing for a significantly larger exhaust port with additional boost ports. As a result, this cylinder features one of the largest exhaust ports currently available for Minarelli vertical engines.

Performance gains are impressive, with an increase of approximately 3 to 4 hp compared to the previous Athena Racing version. The aluminum construction ensures excellent heat dissipation, making it ideal for high-performance setups.

For optimal results and improved cooling, the use of a Big Valve MXS Racing HighFlow intake system combined with a PWK carburetor of at least 21 mm is recommended. A reinforced crankshaft is strongly advised; for example, a high-performance crankshaft such as the Stage6 HPC is suitable.
