Inner Rotor Ignition Stage6 R/T MK2 – Piaggio

The Stage6 R/T MK2 internal rotor ignition for Piaggio 50cc scooters is the upgraded version of the proven Stage6/PVL system. Now equipped with a programmable CDI, it gives you full control over your ignition curve to perfectly match your engine setup—whether for drag racing, track use or maximum high-rev performance.

Programmable CDI – Optional but Powerful

The included CDI comes preloaded with the latest Stage6 MK2 ignition curves, so the system is fully plug & play even without custom programming.
If you want more control, simply program your own curve using the Stage6 R/T interface and software (sold separately).

3 Options for ignition setup:

  • Green wire NOT grounded – Less pre-ignition → Track racing
  • Green wire grounded – More pre-ignition → Drag racing
  • Custom ignition curve – Requires Stage6 programming interface & software

You can also mount an additional flywheel on the rotor to increase inertia and improve power stability at high RPM.

As with previous models, PVL supplies the high-quality hardware, while Stage6 provides the software and racing-proven ignition curves. The result:

Digital internal rotor ignition :

  • Lightweight internal rotor with very low inertia
  • Overmoulded stator winding
  • Optimized for high-revving engines

Important Notes & Recommendations

  • This is a race ignition → no power supply for lights or water pump.
    → A battery is required for electrical functions.
  • Not compatible with Malossi MHR Team crankshafts
  • Use a racing spark plug + ignition breaker
  • Ensure a solid ground cable between engine case and chassis (Critical for ignition reliability!)
